So it's true in the southern hemisphere summer is winter and viceversa? O_o
How do you guys celebrate Christmas (if you do)...? ...at the beach? =P

As for Christmas; usually a barbeque lunch (sometimes at the beach) and maybe a family dinner. No snow, of course.

Well, I celebrate Christmas in the cold, but not snow. Down here in Louisiana, we don't get snow. We got snow back in '04 and I was so happy! My siblings, neighbors, and I had a big snowball fight! And I've flown to colorado twice to ski.....Oh! I'm getting off topic.

I don't get snow here neither but we do get some quite cool... emm colds!

We're usually at 3°C in winter whereas in summer (as now) we're at 37°C

Ah....I use Farenheit. In winter, it gets to the 50s. In summer, (now) it gets hot. Up in the 80s or 90s and sometimes above. But not for long, because we have a HUGE thunderstorm ALMOST EVERY FREAKIN' DAY!

CaptainEddie, where do you live? In Southwestern Michigan the winters are cold (like, below freezing point cold) and it doesn't warm up until June, where the average temperature is in the late 60's/early to late 70's... but there are on and off periods of cold days in the summer too.

And that's all in Fahrenheit, by the way.

EDIT: Oh, Louisiana. Maybe I should've read that.

Yeah, it's not that hot everyday, but it can get that hot. Our lows are, like, th 70s.

It's hot in the summer, but it can also get very cold in the winter, too.

In Hawaii, it was warm all year round!

Ah, I've always wanted to go to Hawaii. Is that where you live? Have you seen any sharks?

No. I live in Louisiana, too. I went to Hawaii a few months ago. We didn't see any sharks, but we saw some whales out in the distance. We had a heck of a time trying to park at Burger King, though. Every single parking space was taken and spent 15 minutes driving in circles around Burger King, and we finally found a little hill of ground to park on. We went to Pearl Harbor and got to see one of the sunken ships, which was spitting oil out into the water after all these years! The oil looked like rainbow puddles that drifted into the ocean. It's summer all year round down there. Even in the south part of Louisiana we still see the cold side of the weather in the winter.

In West Michigan it can get below freezing in the winter, and last week it got up to 88F.

My computer was acting all weird...

And while trying to find TiptupJr.'s secret identity in those forums I decided to mute it with the quicktouch buttons and nothing happened (the led must've changed from blue to red).
I closed Firefox and surpisingly it worked, then i noticed the taskbar was kinda frozen.
I click on it and that blue orb thingy appeared, I clicked it again and Windows told me "Windows Explorer has stopped working. What do you want to do?" i restarted it and blah blah, it kept happening until I reseted it.

I know this is the Random Thoughts topic but random doesn't necessarily means nonsense right? =P

Firefox has been very slow today.... and I've had that "chaos" forum glitch again, where it messes up the layout and color, for the second time today. It goes away when I close and re-open Firefox. In fact the colors are messed up in my browser as I'm posting this.

I can't even touch YouTube - the videos take longer than 5 minutes to fully load, and sometimes it will only load some of the video and then stop. Some pages (even Google!) can take 10+ seconds to load whereas most were nearly instant before. Firefox is really freaking slow (I have 3.0.1) and it needs to be fixed!

I'm probably going to revert back to 3.0.0 because this is getting really annoying.

It has been normal for me (yesterday and today). Don't you think it may be your internet connection? It has happened to me, that sometimes the speed is really slow, but that usually is problem of your internet service.

Simion, you think that you have it bad? I have AOL, and the day Youtube videos load in less than 5 five minutes I'll have a heart attack. It literally took me 2 hours to watch a 4 minute and 16 second video called Charlie the Unicorn. I don't think I have ever loaded a page in less than 10 seconds!!!


Ahem...anyway, yeah. If it was better before and it's worse now, I would switch back to what you had before.

I remember when I had dial-up 2 years ago. It would usually take me about 10 minutes for a Youtube video to load 3 seconds Or a 2 MB PowerPoint presentation to download would take about 4 or 5 minutes. Then I had to decide for dsl or satellite TV, and I decided DSL and now I'm really happy

TV sucks balls! Internet was clearly the best choice.
If I watch TV, I enjoy watching anime and cartoon series much more than things like "Friends" and "Scrubs". I also think they usually have more substance, ähhm, well.
The last few weeks, my TV was just on for cartoons/anime, motorsport and SNES/N64.
