So, as some of you guys might remember, certain japanesse DKC ROM hacks had this little gimmick of the letter K killing you and that ONG were the answer of life. Well, I have recreated it for the US version of DKC.
That's right, when I downloaded the Japanesse IPS for applying this gimmick, it came with a ASM file, which was essentially the source code.
So, after converting all the values for the US version, I finally managed to make it work.
Here's how the hack works in short:
: It will trigger this → 
(And since you're not in a bonus room, most of the time at least, you lose a life)
: They replace the KONG letters you needed to get in order to get an extra life, now you only need the ONG letters for it to happen.And that's about it, here's the link for the IPS and the source code if you ever want to modify something:
