Lets use this thread as a help center. If anyone is having trouble with any level in the DKC Trilogy, post a question here, and someone with the knowledge will come along (hopefully) and be able to answer your question.

*No question is a dumb question. You might not want to ask it because you think so, but someone else might have the same question*

I actually have two things that have been giving me trouble =(

- Oil Drum Alley in DKC. I get Rambi, I always get to the end, and even with Rambi, have alot of trouble getting over the drums that light up and get put out fast.

I actually don't have trouble with this on the GBA version, but it seems MUCH more difficult on the VC/Snes version. (I'm playing the VC version).

Any suggestions? I'm sure there's a way to beat it, but man...


Oh, and how is it possible to beat Lightning Lookout? (DKC3) That level has been giving me an unbelievable amount of trouble.

Oil Drum Alley: Wait and watch the drums. I think that they flare up like twice and then stay down for a few seconds, giving you time to get accross.

Hmm.. well, I finally made it. Then I finished the next level EASILY. and then...came....Elevator Antics.... and if I finished that, I'd be able to save, but... that level completely owned me, and I almost made it to the end, but on my last life, I got killed my the red Zinger on the the toughest part of the level

So it sent me back to Oil Drum Alley

Lightning Lookout - spend a bit of time learning how the lightning works. Run through the level for a little bit, then stop and wait for the lightning in front of you; run then stop. The water sections of the level are likely to be your biggest enemy here - just make sure you time your jumping carefully so you don't land in the water. If landing in the water is inevitable, time it so that you're doing so right after a lightning bolt has struck to give yourself as much time as possible.
