Could you please show me your current progress on the editor? I'm worried that this idea might be a "stuff finished from thin air" project, which Simion32, the forum moderator, does not seem to like. You always could learn C++ to improve the editor. 
Just remember that there is a difference between helping and having other users do all the work for you.
I'm not an expert at developing programs, so I unfortunately cannot help you. I could suggest features, though.
