Hello, i am going to remake the entire game by editing all level with the DKCRE.

[color=#FF0000] - I stopped this DKC1 project, i give up. It's to kaizo and i don't like the design of most of my level. Working on DKC2 now.

It's now 2012, This is the end of.................. all bananas ! Unless, YOU , can save them by beating this meanie crocodile.
Some bananas escaped and will help / guide you in the level.
But WARNING ! K.rool isn't stupid, he knew that would happen, so he placed some deadly sign... You shouldn't always trust those Arrow sign. But the few bananas K.Rool didn't steal will be a big help !

Very Important :

When you see this sign, it mean you are entering a LAGGY area, item will spawn slowly, so this sign means "WALK SLOWLY".

You'll only see this sign in :

- World 2 Level 5
- World 3 Level 2

Judging from the video, it looks like you just shoved everything in the first stage to make it hard, rather than enjoyable.

Just finished playing through the demo. The level design overall is pretty interesting and enjoyable. The foreground is obviously crazy, but I don't really mind personally.

The difficulty is pretty much spot-on, it's hard but doesn't require save states.

I like how there's not just one theme in any level. The levels constantly throw you off!

Keep going man, I expect good things.

Yeah, these levels are good! Just had a play-through a few hours ago of the 2 world demo.

There's something to be said about the puzzle elements, and I also like how the levels are making you go all over the place instead of strictly being "go rightwards" levels.

Sure.

First, apply this IPS patch to your ROM:

dkc-warning_lag_ahead_sign.ips

This places the sprite data at offset 7A21, and adds a pointer to it at the end of the table at 3BCC9C. It also defines a new object at 35FE0B which uses the sprite.

If you want the sign to display properly in DKCRE:

• Open the DKCv10U.INI file in a text editor. This file is in the GameConfig folder inside DKCRE's directory.
• In the bottom of the ObjectDictionary (below the line which reads "{B5B3|0100…………3C89C2…………1} = Krusha \n(constant movement)\n[GARBAGE]"),
  paste this text :

To insert the object using the editor:

• Make sure Scenery is checked in the View menu.
• Click on the Edit Objects button, then click on the object in the level you want to change into the sign.
• In the text box at the bottom left of the Object panel, type in FE0B and click the Set Digit button.
• If you made the changes to the INI file, you should now see the Warning: Lag Ahead sign in the place of the object you selected. If not, you will see a red X with the digits 0xFE0B in front of it. Either way, it should show up when you save your ROM and play the level.

You can also add the sign to DKCRE's objects panel by finding the section called [SubCat-SceneryItems] (below the ObjectDictionary - starting at the ObjectCategories section is the objects catalog) and adding the line

FE0B = 0000

This will cause the object to get listed and displayed in the panel, and it will also become search-able via the Lookup OBJ feature.

You can add anything else you want to DKCRE's panel in the same manner. I made it expandable for exactly this kind of situation.
