I recently found this attempt of restoration by using “modern instruments” (whatever that may be) and he slightly remixed the soundtrack. Some of the changes seem to take inspiration from Tropical Freeze, primarily the rendition of Stilt Village (GBA). I really like a lot of these restorations. Some of them have changes in them that I prefer the originals, though.

I hope no one minds that I’m posting my favorites here. Also, I finally understand pokey pipes (gba). The noises always confused me there. Also, Nuts and Bolts (GBA) is somehow more fitting for those factory levels.
