Am I the only person who can't find a screen recorder that doesn't expire after a week?

Here are various free video recording software I've been told to use:

- Overwolf - Usually used for recording video games.

- Bandicam - In the trial version, you can record up to 10 minutes.

- FRAPS - Trail only lets you record 30 seconds. :|

- XFire - Didn't work well for me but it might work well for others.

- Camtasia - Trail doesn't expire after a week, but a month!

There's also RecordMyDesktop if you have Linux, if you don't mind it being output in the .ogv format.

I believe we're discussing desktop recording software and the quality of said software.

How's Hypercam?

Alternatively: Get a camera that does sound+video, a power cable for it, and a tripod to put it on. Then proceed to record the PC screen. That's what I came up with, because recording using screen recorder software is too slow with a game running (by its very nature - you don't get hardware acceleration).

But yeah, that does cost money.

For freeware, try CamStudio. It's not trialware, crapware, or crippleware, either!
