Why don't you give Unreal or Unity a chance, I'm sure you can do some cool stuff with your models if you practice a bit with one of those game engines. I went the Unreal route and now I feel is too late for me to migrate all my projects to Unity but I hear Unity is really good too. Is Unreal free? ...

Unfortunately all my rigging and animations are lost from the import to Blender....
I don't have any animation software... just a 3dsmax trial; that ends in 10 days!

You are correct. I am modelling it off of Squawks from DKC Returns/ Tropical Freeze.

I decided to try to make it look more cartoony. I thinks its a lot better now. Not perfect.

Yes. ZBrush UI is pretty confusing. I don't find the UI in Blender confusing. I'm sure you can learn it in time. Shouldn't take that long to learn. And google is your friend! These are just a few examples, there are a lot of ways to achieve similar results. I don't know what most emulators use, other than ZSNES multiplying by 8. It was actually Qyzbud who pointed that out to me; he was doing all of the maps using ZSNES and I gave him an image with minisculely different ...

I think its the emulator. I am using the latest ZSNES emulator however I think that's where the problem is cuzz I tried a different version (ZSNES 8MB Custom Build) and the RGB values match with your program. Palette Diferences

I noticed that the RGB values of palettes differ between Mattrizzle and rainbowsprinklez programs. They differ slightly same with the spriters resource and the atlas maps.

Which is the correct palette to go by?

Nice!!

Just two suggestions I have if you are interested...

- Highlight the selected pixel arrangement in the Preview window.
- Select a sprite by address. Right now you have to use the Image field.


I have a few more things but then I'm nit picking....

I think I found a bug. See image. The last two 16x16 groups are not correct. It shows up correctly in the main view but not in the tile editor.

So... I know were the bananas are located But I don't know how to use the palette editor to find them... I just get gibberish. I tried increasing / decreasing the bits. I loaded a save state as well and scrolled through the ROM. Location_Of_Banana.png Below is proof I'm not totally going bananas lol...

Are the barrels made up of two sprites overlay ed?

The map heads share sprite ID $0088. IDs less than $008C (D.K.'s first one) are handled differently from the others in that they do not load their own graphics. So the map icons all have the same X Y coordinates and said coordinates are located in the same spot in the ROM? Below are a few sprites. ...
